Q8Aviation’s parent company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has become Europe’s leading overseas jet fuel supplier, according to the latest data from the International Energy Agency (IEA). In the first six months of 2013, imported fuel from Kuwait rose by over two-thirds to more than 1.8 million tons, propelling KPC from third place in 2012 to the top position this year.
Europe remains increasingly dependent on jet fuel imports as its refining industry continues to decline. As a result, IEA statistics show an 8.4% increase in jet fuel imports into the region in the first half of 2013.
Q8Aviation is the largest importer of jet fuel into Europe through our dedicated import facilities in Le Havre, Rotterdam, Avonmouth and Koper Port in Slovenia. Currently serving around 40 European airports, our close links with KPC validate our ‘wellhead to wingtip’ claim, giving our customers the reassurance of a reliable supply chain.
