Q8Aviation has strengthened its network of regional airports in Europe with the addition of Frankfurt-Hahn in Germany, from April 2010, and has already secured its first customer.
Located 120 kilometres west of Frankfurt, the airport was formerly a military base before reverting to civilian use in 1993. Today, it operates as an airport for low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and is also an important cargo airport, ranked as the fourth largest in Germany.
Fadel Al-Faraj, Supply and Operations Director for Q8Aviation, comments: “We are pleased to add Frankfurt-Hahn to our network in Germany, which is an important market owing to its size and economic significance. It is pleasing to note that, despite the economic downturn, Frankfurt-Hahn has continued to increase both its passenger and cargo business and we look forward to becoming a valued long-term supplier as the airport continues to expand.”
Q8Aviation provides a jet fuel service at two other airports in Germany: Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
