Q8Aviation is extending its technical services to offer aviation companies professional assistance and advice on health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) issues.
This additional service coincides with an important development in the industry as the Joint Inspection Group (JIG) prepares to raise the bar by changing its HSSE management system (HSSEMS) guidelines to a Standard from 2016.
Q8Aviation has strong credentials to offer this support, having long worked within JIG on HSSE issues. Robert Finch, SSHE Manager at Q8Aviation, played a pivotal role in developing JIG’s original HSSE guidelines as Chairman of its HSSE Committee. Q8Aviation’s own in-house standards were used as the base documents for the original JIG HSSEMS guidelines and the updated Standard.
Robert, who has recently been re-appointed Chairman of the JIG HSSE Committee, comments: “I have enjoyed the challenge of leading the transition of JIG’s HSSE guidelines to Standards. This is a significant move which will drive up standards across the industry.”
He adds: “Offering assistance and advice on HSSE issues to companies within the aviation fuel business is a logical progression for Q8Aviation and we are delighted to support companies in meeting the challenge of achieving industry standards in HSSE.”
