Employees at Q8Aviation's Chonburi storage terminal in Thailand are supporting the local Wat Sukree Boonyaram school as part of Q8Aviation's drive to help local communities where we operate.
Q8Aviation have provided good quality second hand computers and printers to support the schools effort. These will be used to teach the children essential IT skills and will also assist the school’s administration staff. It has also set up a reward programme to recognise high performance in each class with a financial payment aimed at enabling these pupils to further enhance their education.
Chunwannadit Chitrakul, Operations Manager Thailand for Q8Aviation, said: “We believe that a business that cares about the world will ultimately be more successful. It is a pleasure to support these young school children and very motivating for our own staff too.”
Located 100 kilometres south of Bangkok, Chonburi Terminal is known for its outstanding safety record. In September 2013 it reached the unprecedented achievement of 8,000 continuous man days without interruption from injury or illness and is continuing to extend this record even further.
Mary Henderson, Operations Manager at Q8Aviation, commented: “The high standards set by our colleagues at Chonburi demonstrate the ethos of care it has both for its employees and contractors, as well as for the local community.”
