Chonburi Terminal, Q8Aviation’s storage and supply terminal in Thailand, has achieved an outstanding safety target by recording 40,000 continuous man hours of work, without interruption from injury or illness.
This is the second time that the staff in Thailand have achieved a safety target, which reflects the exceptionally high standard of safety within our Thailand operations, both at the Terminal and at our office in Bangkok.
Located 100 kilometres south of Bangkok, Chonburi Terminal has eight tanks for jet fuel storage.
To mark the achievement, Andrew Westmoreland, Managing Director of Q8Aviation, presented the team in Thailand with a safety award.
He comments: “Health and safety has the highest priority for Q8Aviation and we set demanding targets for our suppliers and contractors, as well as our own employees. I congratulate everyone at Chonburi for achieving and continuously maintaining such impressive safety standards.”
Chunwannadit Chitrakul, Operations Manager Thailand for Q8Aviation, adds: “We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised. We are committed to driving up safety standards even further and are now setting our sights on doubling this target to 80,000 continuous man hours.”
