Q8Aviation has started marketing at Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt international airport, Germany’s newest airport which opened on 31st October 2020, and has already won a major contract with one of the airport’s largest airlines.
Naser Ben-Butain, General Manager Q8Aviation, comments: “We are very pleased to secure a leading airline as our first customer at Berlin Brandenburg. Q8Aviation already has a strong presence in Germany at six airports, including the top two airports Frankfurt and Munich, and Berlin Brandenburg is an important addition to this network. As the economy starts recovering and air travel picks up, we are confident that we are well placed to develop our business further at this new airport.”
Situated 20 kilometres southwest of Berlin, Berlin Brandenburg replaces the capital’s Schönefeld and Tegel airports, which both closed this year. Schönefeld’s terminal has been refurbished and is now Terminal 5 at the new airport. The consolidation of Berlin’s three airports will make Berlin Brandenburg Germany’s third busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers.
This state-of-the-art airport is served by major international and low-cost carriers, including Lufthansa, its budget subsidiary Eurowings, EasyJet and Ryanair.
