Q8Aviation’s technical team recently hosted a workshop in Dubai to share knowledge on the latest developments in the refuelling sector. It was attended by 25 of Q8Aviation’s technical services clients, from airports large and small.
Over the two days, the team gave presentations and hosted discussions on current issues, providing an opportunity to share experience and best practice.
Presentations by Q8Aviation technical service managers Paul Carmody and Bill Simpson included looking to the future to consider the challenges of reducing carbon footprint and the increasing demand for green fuels. BMS Manager Robert Finch focused on health and safety issues, including the importance of greater awareness of mental health.
Guest speaker Mark Hoye, sales director of Faudi Aviation, a leading manufacturer of aviation filtration equipment, highlighted issues surrounding filter monitors and the impact on safety.
Paul Carmody commented: “The workshop attracted our highest number of delegates to date and was very well received. The discussions were extremely productive, and we were very pleased with the high level of engagement by everyone.”
Q8Aviation organises workshops every year as a service to its technical services clients and as part of our commitment to raise standards in handling aviation fuel.
